Why do we faint?

It is a temporary state of unconsciousness caused by a significant decrease in blood flow to the brain. Because consciousness is not present during fainting, the person does not remember what happened. At the same time, there is a loss of posture during fainting, and the patient falls as a result. Numerous injuries or disabilities can occur due to this fall.

Fainting always occurs due to a reason; it is not a disease in itself. It can generally be seen as a result of heart-related causes. It can also happen for reasons other than the heart. According to research, one in every 4 people worldwide faints.

Beware of Heat

Just as there can be many reasons for fainting, there are also quite a few cases of fainting for which no cause can be found. One of the leading factors causing fainting is standing up too quickly. This is a reason that can happen to almost anyone and fainting can occur many times. Another reason is extremely hot weather. Playing in the heat can also cause fainting. Fainting is also seen as a result of hyperventilation, which is taking deep breaths very quickly, or when faced with a very sad situation, sudden losses, or fluctuations in blood pressure.
