Did you buy organic strawberries and carefully put them in the fridge, but they are molding? Then you should take precautions to protect them. Of course, there are ways to prevent mold. First, wash your strawberries thoroughly. Then, place them in a large bowl. Add approximately 8 cups of water to the bowl where you put your strawberries. Then add 1 cup of apple cider vinegar. The fruits should remain in the liquid. If the liquid is not enough, you can add more water and vinegar.
Let your strawberries soak in this water for about 20 minutes and stir. Be careful not to crush the strawberries. At the end of the time, take all the strawberries out onto a dry towel and dry them. You should not wash the strawberries after the vinegar water; it is extremely important that a little vinegar remains on the strawberries.
After drying the fruits thoroughly, you can put them in another container and place them in the refrigerator.
You might be concerned that the vinegar will spoil the taste of the strawberries. However, let us reassure you that the taste of the fruits will not be spoiled by the vinegar. Of course, this is especially true if you use apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar, which is lighter than grape vinegar, will prevent your fruits from molding.
