Urban Transformation in Konya
Urban transformation efforts, which have recently gained significant attention and are being implemented in almost all provinces of Turkey, have revealed the most reluctant provinces. While Bayburt, Karaman, Yozgat, and Siirt provinces have not made any requests related to urban transformation projects, the highest demand for urban transformation has been observed in provinces such as Istanbul, Ankara, Diyarbakır, Hatay, and Eskişehir. Within the scope of this project, launched on the 14th anniversary of the Marmara earthquake, it is planned to demolish buildings deemed to be at risk across Turkey and create urban settlement areas in their place.
Revitalizing Structures in Place of Collapsed Buildings
To encourage reluctant provinces and ensure their participation in the project, ministry officials are citing the example of buildings that have spontaneously collapsed in Konya, Diyarbakır, and Şanlıurfa. They are calling for support for participation in urban transformation, which will revitalize the real estate sectors of Diyarbakır, Şanlıurfa, and Konya real estate, along with other provinces.
