Choosing Bait by Fish Type

Appropriate Feeds by Fish Type

Fish can be fed in 3 different ways: carnivorous, herbivorous, and omnivorous. For this reason, each fish should consume its own type of food and be given a special fish feed accordingly. There are 6 different types of feed that fish frequently consume. Flake feeds: These feeds, which are generally light, are found on the water surface and are for fish that live close to the water surface. It is generally a preferred feed for all live-bearing fish. Chip feeds: This fish feed, which can stay at the bottom of the aquarium, is suitable for all fish. Granulate feeds: These feeds, which have the property of remaining suspended in water, are for fish living in the middle part of the aquarium. Tablet feeds: These heavy nutrient feeds are for fish living on the bottom, such as catfish and corydoras, and have very little tendency to dissolve in water. Natural feeds: These are protein-rich feeds containing dried shrimp, brine shrimp, and insect larvae. Frozen feeds: These foods, which are the same as natural feeds, are rich in vitamins. They can also be given as an effective feeding system to aquatic turtles.
