Chicken Doner Style
Chicken Doner
Every country or region has its own unique foods and drinks. For our country, döner is a unique fast food. Just as some countries have hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and meatballs, döner is a food unique to the Turkish nation. It should originally be made and consumed with red meat. However, due to high prices and low purchasing power, döner is also made with chicken meat. Thus, a form of döner suitable for every budget has been created. Quality chicken döner is just as popular and loved as red meat döner.
Making Chicken Doner
Similar to red meat döner, it is made by slicing boneless chicken meat and layering it on the döner skewer. If desired, additional ingredients such as tomatoes and peppers can be added in between. It is cooked slowly over low heat, rotating continuously. It is consumed as a portion or as a sandwich to eat on the go. It is especially consumed by students and workers.
