The resolution process was not actually a ceasefire for the PKK; rather, they used this period to stockpile weapons and personnel. Emerging slowly from their hiding places around the November elections, PKK militants are inflicting serious casualties on both the public and our police and soldiers serving in the Eastern Anatolian provinces.
Migrations Continue from Eastern Anatolia
The PKK terrorist organization, particularly evident in Diyarbakır, Cizre, Silopi, and Sur, has exhausted the public, and Eastern Anatolia is no longer a place to live. A state of emergency has been declared in these provinces and districts where news of martyrs and civilian deaths arrives daily. Education has stopped, as have hospitals, markets, and all business life. Consequently, the public has been forced to migrate rapidly from these provinces.
